History

The Laboratorio Alte Tensioni e Forti Correnti (LATFC – High Voltage and High Power Laboratory) was founded in the ’50 of the XX century as department of the Istituto Elettrotecnico Nazionale “Galileo Ferraris”. The mission, since the foundation, is mainly oriented to the research and calibration of testing measuring systems as well as testing for electrical apparatus, such as: switchgear and controlgear assemblies, busbar systems, insulators, circuit-breakers and fuses, contactors, instruments transformers, and similar devices.

The LATFC, with the experience of more than 60 years of activity in the field of validation of electrical products, looks to the future to meet new challenges.
