The Laboratorio Alte Tensioni Forti Correnti  (LATFC) activities are mainly devoted to research, test and calibration in the field of high voltage and high power.

The LATFC facilities allow the generation of transient short circuit current, steady state high current and high voltage power frequency or impulse voltage.

The main focus of the laboratory is in testing electrical apparatus, like switchgear and controlgear assemblies, busbar systems, insulators, circuit-breakers, fuses, contactors, motorstarters, instrument transformer.
